Marquise is the long, pointed oval, and on a bracelet it does something round stones cannot. Stones set end to end make a continuous, flowing line that reads almost like a ribbon of light, because each point nearly touches the next. The cut also spreads the weight of each stone along the wrist rather than across it, so the bracelet looks slender and substantial at once. It is a more distinctive choice than a standard round tennis line and works on both women and men.
The stones are moissanite, and the bracelet passes a standard diamond tester. That is accurate for basic thermal testers, since moissanite conducts heat much like diamond, but a tester built for moissanite will identify it correctly, and you should know that. Its refractive index of about 2.65 is higher than diamond's 2.42, so it flashes more, and at 9.25 on the Mohs scale it keeps its facets through the knocks a wrist takes every day.
The chain is pure 925 sterling silver. Four lengths are offered: 15.5cm, 16.5cm, 18cm and 19cm. The two shorter ones fit most women, and the 18cm and 19cm suit most men and anyone who likes a looser drape. Measure around the wrist bone and add about 1.5cm for a bracelet that drapes and moves, or 1cm if you prefer it closer. Marquise stones are long, so a bracelet that is too short will sit stiffly and tend to flip.
