Marquise is a long, pointed cut, and in a halo setting it does two useful things. The points stretch the look of the finger, and the two rings of small stones around the centre push the apparent size of the ring well past its 0.58 carat total weight. The band is a half eternity, so stones run across the top and the underside stays smooth metal, which is more comfortable against the next finger and easier to resize later.
All the stones are moissanite on 925 sterling silver. A double halo is built from dozens of tiny stones, and tiny stones are exactly where soft material fails: they chip at the girdle and go cloudy at the edges. Moissanite sits at Mohs 9.25, so the small accents keep their shape and their polish instead of going dull in a year. Its higher refractive index also means the halo reads as light rather than as grey dots.
What you choose here is fit. Sizes start at 4.75 and step up in quarter and half increments through the sixes and sevens, which matters more on a halo ring than on a plain band: the setting is wider than the shank, so a size too large will spin and leave the marquise pointing off to one side. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest, and size to the knuckle rather than the base.
