Iced Moissanite Cross Pendant Necklace, 925 Silver

The cross is a solid tag form rather than an open outline, pave set across the face with the stones running to the edges. A tag cross hangs differently from a thin one: the extra mass keeps it lying flat against the chest instead of swinging, and the broad surface gives the stones somewhere to sit in a continuous sheet rather than a line. The bail is sized to take a thick chain without the pendant tipping.

Everything is set in S925 sterling silver with moissanite stones. Sterling matters on a pendant this heavy because the bail carries the whole weight, and silver holds a prong without the fatigue a soft plated alloy shows after a year. Moissanite at Mohs 9.25 with a refractive index of roughly 2.65 is the reason a densely set surface keeps flashing: hard facet edges stay sharp, and more light comes back out of the stone.

The chain is chosen separately and it changes the piece completely. The 3mm steel rope is the plainest and cheapest route and keeps the cross as the only iced element. The 3mm and 4mm tennis chains carry stones along the whole length and give you a fully iced look. The 6mm and 8mm Cuban chains are heavy and masculine and balance the larger pendant sizes best. Both white gold and yellow gold finishes are offered across three pendant variations.
