The clover is built from four small round stones set into a flat quatrefoil, so the shape stays legible at a distance instead of dissolving into a single sparkle. Keeping the stones at 2mm is what makes it work. A larger stone would push the pendant off the chest and make it sit crooked, while 2mm keeps the whole piece low profile enough to wear under a shirt and to layer against a longer chain without clashing.
You choose between moissanite and zircon, and the difference is real. Moissanite is harder, at 9.25 on the Mohs scale, so it holds a polished edge for years and keeps flashing. Its refractive index of about 2.65 gives it more fire than diamond, which is noticeable even at 2mm. Zircon is softer and less fiery, so it dulls sooner with wear, but it costs considerably less and looks right out of the box. For a gift or a layering piece, zircon is honest value.
The chain is a single 45cm length, which lands just below the collarbone on most adults and is the standard length for a pendant you want visible with an open collar. Finish is the other decision. White gold plating keeps the piece cool and reads closest to platinum, yellow gold warms the skin and suits the clover motif traditionally, and rose gold is the softest of the three. All three are plated over s925 sterling silver, which will not tarnish the way brass does.
